I am an entrepreneurial technologist skilled in helping people get the most out of tools and services that can benefit them professionally and personally. From a background in visual arts, education and IT I ably combine my skills to solve problems and provide support in a clear and comprehensive way.
My work in e-learning brings together a design eye (instructional, graphical and for the web) with a content and software development brain.
I also have experience in photo/videography and interactive learning tools.
The open source Moodle is at the core of my work.
I am able to distill what people need to know to get their job done.
Training is often of a highly technical topic but delivered in such a way it doesn't exclude the technically tentative or gloss over key details.
Client requirement varies from one to one sessions to differentiated group learning.
I have advised on a wide range of technological, pedagogical and aesthetic problems.
Clients have benefited from my creativity, experience, technical knowledge and business outlook.
These discussions have informed project specifications, purchasing decisions and overall strategic decisions.
As managing director I oversee all active projects and relationships with our clients at NetCarrel. We are a technology consultancy that work with a wide range of people and organisations - schools and charities trying to get the best for young people; global companies delivering worldwide training programmes and SMEs trying to get the most out of digital media.
I worked independently providing support services to the creative industries in and around London. This included a range of activities not limited to art handling and installation; web design and media promotion; photography and videography; AV/IT sourcing and support.

My practice was about the exploration and distortion of technology in society. Taking essentially neutral instruments and repurposing them I constructed roughly hewn simulacra of 'professional' environments and practices. A CCTV control room, a private investigator's methodology, an interrogation chamber, an epiphany.
These works took the form of installed environments that physically involved the viewer in the world of an absent protagonist. Key interests were locative media, wireless CCTV interception and manipuation, social engingeering and subterfuge.
During my degree I also worked for an experimental theatre group, creating short video pieces and operating Isadora as part of two national tours.
I am also a member of the King's Cross Hub so you might see me there.
